Known as\u00a0<strong>Herod the Builder\u00a0<\/strong>for his numerous construction projects, his magnum opus was the renovation of the Temple, prompting the saying: \u201cOne who has not seen Herod\u2019s building has never seen a beautiful building in his life\u201d. The entire construction was achieved using huge precisely-fitted stone blocks.
