{"id":10749,"date":"2023-11-07T21:43:13","date_gmt":"2023-11-07T19:43:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tmsifting.org\/en\/?p=10749"},"modified":"2024-06-06T22:30:11","modified_gmt":"2024-06-06T19:30:11","slug":"holy-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tmsifting.org\/en\/2023\/11\/07\/holy-work\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Holy Work&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In Hebrew, we have a term called &#8220;Avodat Kodesh,&#8221; which literally means &#8216;Holy Work,&#8217; but actually refers to an unpleasant or tedious job done for a higher cause, one that very few are ready to take upon themselves. Occasionally, we at the TMSP are told that we are doing such a job. However, today we hosted some unusual guests at the sifting site who are, without a doubt, performing such a task, and since October 7th, they have been working day and night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This group of about 40 <a><\/a>soldiers comprises the surveying unit of the IDF rabbinate, who are currently engaged in scanning the massacre areas near the Gaza Strip for the remains of missing victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group took a day off to visit our sifting facility and learn about our methodology and techniques for identifying tiny bones.
