A miniature silver coin, weighing one Judahite Gerah and bearing the Ancient Hebrew letters YHD (Yehud), spelling out the word “Yehud,”or Yehuda. The YHD Coins, bearing the name of the Judah protectorate, a province of the Persian Achaemenid Empire, were the first to be minted in Jerusalem, or indeed, by any Jewish authority.
