Lead Sealing of the Vatican City State (1929–1999)

A lead bulla of the Vatican.

Obverse: Coat of Arms of Vatican city – The Papal tiara atop a pair of crossed keys.

Reverse: Verifica S.C.V  — Authenticated by the City State of the Vatican (Status Civitatis Vaticanae).

The sealing postdates the inauguration of the Vatican State in 1929, and predates the dig in the south-east of the Temple Mount in 1999.
