A bronze coin minted in Thessalonica, during the early days of the Constantinian dynasty following the re-founding of the city of Byzantium as Constantinopolis (Constantinople).
Obverse: The spirit of Constantinopolis, represnted by a warrior with scepter wearing a helmet decorated with laurel leaves, surrounded by the legend “CONSTANTINOPOLIS”.
Reverse: The goddess of victory posing on a ship’s prow, above mint-mark of Thessalonica.
Date: 330–335 CE
